Over the past months I have definitely began to take moments in my life for granted. We get caught up in the grand scheme of things and the rat race we didn’t sign up for. We get consumed with the stresses and routine we get webbed into and before we realise it we are building this large web around us. We become like a creepy spider living in the centre of it all and it becomes hard to see beyond the web.
It takes simple moments to realise how precious life is, how we have to absorb each moment like a sponge, cherish them, immerse ourselves 100% into them, like it’s going to be our last. Make the most of it and keep our hearts full of love and positivity. Rekindle the simple things, like brighten up someone’s day with a smile, a hug or just a reach out, say “I love you” , giggle at our mistake and laugh at our flaws.
I have to value my existence to be able to inculcate these values in my son. He naturally brightens up my life with so much love, it’s only a natural instinct in us to do so but we somehow forget this as we get older.
“Each day brings new opportunities, allowing you to constantly live with love—be there for others—bring a little light into someone’s day. Be grateful and live each day to the fullest” – Roy Bennett.
